Yutka Fence’s residential new fence installations come with a three year labor warranty on fences and a one year labor warranty on gates. Please refer to the chart below to see a detailed description of our residential labor warranty.

Our founder, Paul Yutka, began his career installing fences as a subcontractor for other fence companies.  Over time, he became frustrated with the quality of materials he was being hired to install.  He decided to start Yutka Fence in 1968 so he could offer fences he was confident putting his name and reputation behind.  Over 57 years later, we continue to use high quality materials and installation techniques that give your new fence the longest life possible.  

We know what makes posts last longer and remain plumb, what keeps gates functioning well year after year, and what materials and installation methods help a fence withstand strong winds and repeated frost and thaw cycles in winter.  Our materials and installation techniques take those factors and many others into consideration to protect your investment.  

Many fence companies can make a fence look pretty the day it’s installed, but very few companies do what is necessary for your fence to look beautiful years down the road.With decades of experience and our unwavering commitment to quality, you can be assured your Yutka Fence will perform well and enhance the look of your property for many years after it’s installed.

Material Warranty

Yutka Fence partners with trusted suppliers who provide strong material and performance warranties for their products to give you peace of mind with your purchase.  Most suppliers require you to register your product with them to be eligible for the warranty.  You can find specific warranty and registration information for all our suppliers listed below. 

Wood

Northern White Cedar:  Northern White Cedar has been Yutka Fence’s wood of choice for over 57 years for its beauty, longevity, and higher resistance to rot and decay.  Yutka Fence provides a 3 year warranty on new residential wood fences and a 1 year warranty on new wood gates.  Fence repairs and commercial fences and gates have a 1 year warranty.

Vinyl

Digger Specialties, Inc. (DSI) offers a Transferable Lifetime Limited Warranty that states to the purchaser that its DSI Vinyl Products are free of defects in workmanship and materials and that, in the course of normal and proper use, its Vinyl Products will not peel, blister, flake, rot, corrode, rust, be damaged by termites, or be subject to abnormal weathering per ASTM F-964 specifications.

Aluminum

Digger Specialties:  Digger Specialties, Inc. is proud to offer one of the strongest warranties in the industry. All aluminum products are covered by a Lifetime Limited Warranty and vinyl products are covered by a Transferable Lifetime Limited Warranty.

Ultra:  Ultra Aluminum fencing products are guaranteed for life against defects in workmanship and/or materials. The Powercoat™ finish on all Ultra fencing is unconditionally guaranteed for life against cracking, peeling, or chipping.

Steel

Ameristar Montage:  Montage residential fences undergo an 11-stage E-Coat process and are backed by a limited lifetime warranty.

Labor Warranty

Yutka Fence provides a 3 year labor warranty on all new residential fences and a 1 year labor warranty on all new residential gates.  Fence repairs and commercial installations have a 1 year labor warranty.  Details of Yutka Fence’s warranty are listed below. 

What's Covered?

1. Improper installation (under normal use)
   • Post holes less than 33” deep; 28” deep for cedar split rail
   • Steel posts driven less than 45” deep, excludes t-posts
   • Loose posts resulting from normal conditions
   • Leaning posts
   • Loose boarding on fence
   • Loose sections on the fence
   • Loose fence post caps
2. Paint chipping under normal conditions
3. Paint fading beyond normal weathering
4. Fasteners rusting on vinyl or aluminum fence
5. Vinyl becoming brittle under normal use
6. Glue not adhering on vinyl fence caps or u-channel
7. Gate hardware if broken under normal use
8. Gate sagging from normal use
9. Loose anchor bolts on plated posts
10. Loose nuts and bolts on all fittings
11. Loose gate hardware under normal use

*This guarantee is not transferable and may only be enforced by the Customer

What's not Covered?

1. Misuse or abuse causing damage to the fence, including vandalism, vehicle damage, climbing, and yard maintenance tools
2. Frost or ground water issues resulting in post upheaval
3. Issues caused by snow or ice not being properly removed from fence areas
4. Acts of God, including damage caused by wind, fallen trees, or other natural casualty
5. Normal expected wood discoloration, shrinkage, checking, graying, knots, or decaying
6. Normal expected weathering and settling of land or concrete around the fence
7. Damage caused from water sealing or painting a fence
8. Gate hardware damaged from wind or other forces arising from customer failing to latch the gate is not covered.
